Quick report
Lots of storm snow from the past week. We observed 135cm at 9650ft, west facing slope . Basically an 85cm slab from the past week (F+ at top trending 1F+ at bottom) sitting on a crust facet combo and early season snow below. Basal facets were F hardness in the weakest part. There was some cohesion as you could form a snowball, but still very weak. The wind event was very pronounced - lots of wind effect on many aspects near and above treeline. Lots of impressive rime (and frozen rain/sleet?) at ridgelines and in the alpine from that warm part of the storm! It may have rained up to 10k mid week

Guessing this was later in the storm because the crown was very defined still. For sure due to wind loading given the proximity to the ridge, and the persistent weak layer
