Watched this happen from afar while skinning up the Black Bess lower skin track. A party of 4-5 skiers dropping in on the Rock City/ Michigan City route and released two separate dry snow avalanches on the rollover to the flats (pyramid gap.)
Visual observation, poor bonding structure between new snow (21") interface and SC (sun crust) layer from several days of long wave solar from last week.
