Quick report
Toured north side of Panorama Dome to dig a snow pit and investigate recent storm snow and persistent weak layer. We observed a snowpack that was 110cm deep. We had moderate planar failure results 20cm down on new snow / old rain crust interface. Next we had hard results (26 taps) sudden collapse , 62 cm down failing on Fist plus hard facets that were weak but moist. This is the PWL the forecasters are warning us about in protected / shaded terrain.
