Gorgeous day out. Small facets under thin (1-5cm) wind skin at mid elevations. No surface hoar observed. Widespread short cracking and small (5-10cm) windslab pockets above 6500’. Isolated pockets same depth below 6500’. Did not observe any windslab slides, just small loose wets from earlier this week on SW at 6200’.

Snowpack
20cm recycled pow in shady sheltered spots. Otherwise, hardslab and windscouring on N, W and S high near ridge lines. Surface snow heating through afternoon, enough for almost skin glopping but not entraining loose wet.
