The only signs of instability today was isolated cracking just underneath my skis. None of the cracks wanted to extend infront of me.

Cloud cover started out as scattered and built up to broken by the end of the day. Temps increased slightly as sun poked in and out through the clouds.
Snowpack
Approximately 2"-4" of new snow fell in the previous 24 hours. Below 5,000' the snow felt wet and the preexisting old surface was a very punchy melt freeze crust. A notable difference could be felt at 5,500' and above when the punchy melt freeze crust became supportable. On the descent, the existing crust was supportable enough for my skis to not punch through. At 6300' the snowpack was still moist and nearly isothermic- aside from the top 2" of new snow. The JDL layer was well rounded, but still had some lingering rounding facets.
Avalanche
No recent avalanche activity observed. Noted one old large crown on the leeward side of a E/NE ridgeline that is often loaded by the domiant SW winds. This avalanche likely failed in the last storm cycle.
