Quick report
We found a shady spot on a totally North aspect at 5333’. Total snow depth was 230 cm. Pit depth 115 cm. Found a planar break at CT13 @ 85 cm deep. Propagated ECT25 @ 85 cm. Density test shows a nice set up snow pack, knife density at 115 cm. Snow temps were cold at around 28 F @ 115 cm working its way down to 24 F starting @ 50 cm. No instability observed at that elevation on that aspect. Did see a D3 to D4 on the back side of Van Epps (Scatter side) on a West aspect, once the sun hit it. May have been snowmobile remote triggered. No one in avalanche.
