Quick report
No recent avalanches or instabilities observed. However, we did observe unique surface crystallization due to cold temps and high moisture content in protected zones at low elevations. Cavity hoar, surface hoar and other undetermined growth (see pics!). We were curious what the flat capped surface crystals are called, if they have a name - seen by the meadows approaching Source. Figured this would be something interesting to post considering the rather unremarkable avy conditions this week.
