Chiming in to the instability found around Mt Rose. Lots of new snow accumulated since yesterday. SSW winds forming prevalent easy to trigger slabs. 8+ inch storm slabs seemed to be developing. When undercut they would slide on what I believe to be the interface of today’s snowfall and yesterday’s snow surface albeit a rough and irregular sheer. We found no instances of yesterday’s top layer collapsing itself and snow fall felt right side up. Standard significant storm avalanche operating procedure. I would imagine we’ll be into a natural avalanche cycle for the duration of the storm.
