Quick report
We found a lot more fresh snow than expected and skied fun, heavy pow on south castle and E aspects on andesite. We triggered wet loose slides on andesite in the afternoon as temps rose. We experienced no collapsing/whumping and saw no other signs of instabilities
Avalanche
My partner triggered a sizable wet loose slide on an E aspect at 1pm(proceeded by wet precip and rising temps). While it’s easy to dismiss these slides as shallow and slow moving it’s important to remember that a smaller surface avalanche (especially with wet heavy snow) could be the tipping factor to trigger deeper instabilities
