Quick report
Moderate gusting to strong North wind at Tamarack Peak today. Blowing snow near tree line especially at ridge tops was moderate, loading East Lee features readily. Small cornices were forming and failed easily with kicks. Wind slabs didn’t extend far downslope yet, but seem to be developing rapidly.

Snowpack
It has been a week since I was in the Carson range and the snowpack seems to have doubled in depth with the recent storms. HS 180 In several locations near 9000’. Cold powder snow skied well, especially in areas sheltered from the wind.
