Quick report

Today was hot! No wind to about the 9k elevation band and was able to keep surfaces slightly cooled. Everything below was baking and the snow was starting to show it. Definite cumulus development throughout the day which allowed from some “shade”. Skiing on the lower squak was better than the Roman headwall. Squak route is in good condition.

Avalanche

We noticed a school bus size serac collapse halfway up the squak on the ski down. At lower elevations there was a definite wet loose problem and looming glide cracks on direct E facing slopes. The twin sisters range had some sizable wet slab release on unsupported terrain.
