Quick report
Lots of climbers on Southside (esp around Old Chute) taking advantage of good conditions prior to weekend weather and next week’s significant warming. Besides travel hazard cracks, no major concerns on West Crater Rim route beyond a thin 10.5Kish band of wind-impacted snow underfoot that produced a few chunky releases (tho no shooting cracks or propagation). Did cause me to briefly deviate to Old Chute approach (w its own looming rime-fall, slab triggering recent season concern). No loose wet activity on climb or the 10:30 somewhat defensive ski descent, tho a bit more of a survival ski feel at the top for my skill level.
