Snowfall totals were light last night, although much more snow fell over the course of the day, sometimes heavily. About 3-4” around 5k at 2:15pm. Heavy wind on the ridgelines lead to some small isolated reactive pockets of snow in very specific areas. We got some of these to break, but nothing deeper than about 3” and without propagation. Couldn’t find any larger slabs of concern, but I imagine they could out there with the right circumstances. The sun came out in the afternoon and produced small roller balls. Overall better than expected travel conditions. Riding was challenging, but fun. Lots of refreeze and old slide debris to work through, but there were some small pockets of shallow cold snow to have fun with.
