Quick report

Forecast calling for 10-20 mph NW winds with light snow showers. Found SW winds at about 10-20 mph with light to moderate snow above pan face. approx 2 inches of fresh heavy snow in wind sheltered areas, substantially more in wind loaded areas with new large wind features forming by the time of our descent from Camp Muir. Initially seemed well bonded though in areas with heavier loading, significant sloughing in small isolated test slopes >35. Muir snow field was relatively sheltered from winds and generally saw about 5mph during our morning ascent. Camp Muir felt warm with frequent breaks in the cloud cover. Challenging ski conditions between 9k-10k due to the wind features, stout crust, and white out conditions.
