Quick report

Toured to the Mint Hut to assess recent snow fall, observe recent avalanche activity, and break trail for miles. We observed multiple naturals in progress coming releasing from the east side of the valley but some activity on west side as well. Approx 30” of unconsolidated wet snow sat on a supportable base on the ascent towards the mint. There was no obvious debris below Backdoor gap. Most notably we observed two avalanches that overran the prior debris paths - assumed from earlier in the week. A large release high on Troublemint (i think) impressively ran further than the existing debris pile. On our way out, at the prominent avy gully off Idaho Peak somewhat near the trailhead had slid during the day and erased all existing tracks.
