Isolated cracking and collapsing on the approach to south gully. Softer slabs ~5cm thick on the old bed surface were fairly reactive to foot penetration and hand shear. These slabs existed in isolated pockets sheltered from the strong winds today. Overall, the snow surface has been firmed up by the wind and is very well bonded.
