Looks like there has been lots of activity on the South Face of Lone Peak, and the Heavens Halfpipe area. These photos were taken from my back porch this afternoon around 4 pm. The largest slide pictured (below Lone Peak) traveled over 4000 vertical feet, and looks to have stepped down into older snow halfway down, then possibly triggered a few other smaller slides at the bottom of the slope. This is the largest slide path I have ever seen on this slope, and I have been watching and riding this slope for many many years. It is unknown if this happened during the storm, or today; but it was skied and ridden today. There are tracks very close to where the slide originated just below Lone Peak. Hopefully those who were there can give more information. This is considered to be a "safe zone" by many, but these photos prove otherwise. Also of note is the wet slide activity coming off Big Horn Peak and crossing the chosen skin track route.
