Quick report

There was a weak layer observed at 40 cm. An Extended Column Test and Compression test was performed. ECTP17@40cm, CT 15@ 40 cm, and a complete column failure at the observed ice layer with a CT20@ 1cm or near ground. Given our findings, caution should be exercised on North and East facing aspects as high winds and temperature fluctuations continue.

Snowpack

Snow depth measured was 70cm with varying faceted layers ranging from solid facets near the surface, to rounded facets near the ground. A 1cm layer of ice also lays on the ground. We found the problematic layer to be at 40cm. Test was performed at 9480' on a Northeast facing aspect below timberline. Previous signs of wind loading were also present.
