Quick report

Traveled up Snowshed mountain traveling on all aspects before descending at 7,500 feet to Essex Creek. -temperatures stayed below freezing all day and we did get some pockets of sun throughout the day -Found a light breakable sun crust on direct southern aspect that probably formed in last couple of days. It was not forming today with snow being cold and dry with no roller balls. -On exposed ridges found light wind transport but did not find any wind slab formation. We did not reach the true summit so surmise we were leeward of the prevailing SW winds and somewhat protected. -Found a glide crack on the East aspect of a false summit (~7,000-7,100 ft.) Due to the lack of instability found we did step out some and skied some steeper runs but did stick to planer slopes with no likely shallow triggers.
