Entering Cardiac Bowl about mid day and we counted at least 7 natural avalanches that had occurred sometime overnight or during the early morning hours. These originated from steep rocky terrain above the slope, and took out most of the Thursday storm snow. These were ~20 cms (8") and ran at the interface with the dense graupel layer that fell on Wednesday. These were class 1.5, although at least one was a class 2 (it could have buried a person.)
