Widespread large whumpfs that sounded and felt like they propagated 100ish ft radius. They occurred between 1000 and 1600 ft in both alders and open areas. Observed widespread natural storm slabs failing in the new snow. It was easy to trigger 1 ft deep slabs on test slopes. Hand pits failed on isolation both1 foot down in recent snow, and 18 inches down in the storm before last. Both layers showed easily identifiable facets and hardness changes.
