Quick report

The snowpack is this area is generally stable because there is no slab - the snowpack is composed of mostly weak, sugary facets and depth hoar. You'd need to find a big wind drift to trigger an avalanche. I would have avoided any steep slopes with a thick layer of hard, wind-drifted snow anywhere in the snowpack, but I didn't see any during a short field day.

Light NW winds were rolling the facets along the surface near the top of the peak. "Previous Wind Loading" refers to 2-3" (5-8cm) drifts/baby wind slabs at ridgeline.

Snowpack

Summary: Impressively weak, but currently stable, snowpack on shady slopes. S-SW and some SE are also weak and stable:  a mess of degrading or degraded crusts and FC and more variability. No observed snow depths over 50cm.

Below 8000': HS=<30cm, all FC except some faceting mid-pack crusts barely hanging in there on the solars that still have a bit of snow

8200' (Lupine Point): HS=35cm on flats, all FC/DH. Enough coverage on W-N-E-SE to be a problem when loaded in the future in the burned areas - sage is still sticking out where it didn't burn.

8370': On NE, HS=40-50cm in sheltered burn area, all FC/DH but with 5-8cm of 4F+/1F- immediately above 11/30.  In NW exposed meadow, HS=20-30cm of all FC/DH.

8600' to ~8900' NW: HS=30-45cm, all FC/DH, ski pen to G or close to it while skinning, some  places with a few cm of 4F+/1F- that tries to keep you off the ground.

8600' to 8900' W-SW:  HS=near 30cm, old crusts are almost entirely FC now.

8900-9100' NW: HS=45-50cm where previously wind-loaded but not scoured, some intact 4F+/1F- mixed forms just above 11/30. Where more scoured above 9000', HS=30-40cm, most faceted, some wind layers keeping some structure.

9000' W-SW: HS=35-40cm, crusts have mostly degraded to FC except 1cm surface crust (temp + sun?).
