Quick report

Red Flags
Poor Snowpack Structure

Skied between 9500 and 11k on mostly northerly slopes and found surprisingly normal snow cover amounts above about 10250' for the time of year (HS 70-125cm). The shallower the pack the more faceted through the snowpacks entirety.

Dug a pit on NE 10750' Had 2x ECTX, 2x CT25 SC on upper boundary (35cm above ground) of Nov/early Dec facets on 3mm 4F- Facets with 1F slab above.

Had one collapse on a N facing bank in the valley bottom at 10000'. No new avalanche observed. Accumulations from the last major storm were only a few inches here max.

Id expect wind loaded areas to be stubborn but potentially really dangerous and unpredictable in nature.
