It was a super mild day in the Elkhorns. At least below freezing for now...
After finding propagation in 1/2 tests, our group elected to ski Angell saddle instead of Lee's NE slopes. There are tracks on all the Lakes lookout chutes and the north face of Angell peak.

Calm winds with light gusts from the S. Temps stayed barely below freezing.
Snowpack
Surface hoar 2-4mm in isolated spots near angell creek.
At 8500' E, we had one propagating ECT below the 12/26 crust, but no failure on this layer in our second ECT. ECTN x2 below the 1/3 crust. There was an average of 150cms of snow at this somewhat wind loaded location. Boot penetration of 20cm at mid and upper elevations suggests that the surface slab is settling.
