Zipper sun crust on solar aspect in swift creek. From Heather meadows to ridge between Ann and Annette, surface hoar was present on all aspects and elevations we encountered. Wind texturing as we neared the ridgeline but no wind board was found through ski pen or pole pen. I conducted a hand shear test on a supported slope that had wind texture on NNE aspect at 4600 ft. Fist snow down to 7 inches, 7-18 inches four finger, 1 finger below. Block pulled off with moderate force with a clean break at four finger-1 finger interface. 3 more hand shears were conducted near ridgeline on N facing aspect with same result on 1 finger 4 finger interface with a clean break. Sun was out for the majority of the day with a full cloud coverage coming in for about 1 hour around noon. No wind. Skiing was done on slopes up to 35 degrees but we avoided convex rollovers and steep planar slopes. No sluffing during skiing or travel was observed. All avalanche activity was from previous days of wetloose that had a slight dusting from previous night. No wetloose activity was noticed throughout the day. Snow was noticeably heavier moving back up swift creek than when we had crossed it in the morning. Overall high quality skiing that had been preserved from cold temps throughout the week.
