Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will continue to thaw and diminish at all levels. Stability will be good. Greatest snow cover will be on North through East to South aspects above 700 metres. Becoming increasingly patchy at lower elevations. Any new snow on the highest summits overnight will be superficial. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Some very light showers at the start of the night may be snow on the highest summits. This will clear to give a dry morning followed by rain at levels during the afternoon. East-South-East winds will be strong overnight easing to moderate by morning and becoming light by the end of the day. The freezing level will be above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: A mild dry day with moderate to strong East-South-Easterly winds. The freezing level was above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The snow cover continues to thaw and diminish. Large areas of soft but stable snow are present above 700 metres, more patchy at lower elevations. The avalanche hazard is Low.
