As a consequence of new snow and a moderate to strong wind from southwesterly directions, mostly small wind slabs will form in the course of the day in particular adjacent to ridgelines. They are to be found in particular in steep terrain at elevated altitudes. These are to be evaluated with care and prudence in particular in terrain where there is a danger of falling. In particular transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack where weaknesses exist in the old snowpack are especially unfavourable. The danger of moist and wet avalanches will decrease gradually.

Hardly any snow is lying. The snowpack will be generally subject to considerable local variations. The surface of the snowpack will cool hardly at all during the overcast night. The snowpack will be moist. This applies in all aspects below approximately 2800 m. The old snowpack will be wet all the way through below approximately 2300 m.

The avalanche danger will persist.
