Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will briefly rise to about 1200 metres during the morning before falling back down to around 500 metres by late afternoon. Gale force winds will be from the South-West or West. A band of snow, turning briefly to rain below about 1000 metres, will cross the area during the morning. This will be followed by snow showers. Observed Weather Influences: There were heavy snow showers overnight and through the day. The freezing level was around 600 metres. Gale force winds were from the West.
