Highs will reach the teens Thursday. A series of weak disturbances will reach the area from the northwest out of Canada bringing a chance of light snow by Wednesday afternoon. Ridgetop winds will continue northwesterly at 15 to 20 mph.The General Avalanche Hazard for the Teton area will decline but remain in the MODERATE category for Upper and Mid elevations. Time and cold temperatures will reduce the hazard but pockets of soft slabs to eighteen inches in depth remain a concern on higher areas affected by more wind. Warming temperatures during the day Thursday will weaken the snowpack, perhaps enough for a traveller to trigger a slide. At Low elevations the Hazard will remain at LOW due to the shallowness of the snowpack.The General Avalanche Hazard will remain at LOW in the Togwotee Pass and Greys River regions.
