Highs are to be in the teens and winds are to be Southwesterly at ten to twenty miles per hour.The avalanche hazard is expected to be Considerable in the Tetons at the high elevations. Skiers or riders have the potential to trigger soft or hard slabs to depths of three feet in steep wind loaded terrain. These slabs have the potential to involve large volumes of snow as the slabs may be larger than those seen throughout this season. At the mid elevations, slabs to two foot depths may be triggered and avalanches at low elevations will be unlikely.In the Southwest Trails/Greys River area and in the Togwotee Pass area the hazard is expected to be Moderate. Human triggered slabs to three foot depths are possible in steep avalanche terrain near cliffs, ridge summits and peaks. Terrain ideal for highmarking may be particularly susceptible to failure under these current conditions.
