As a consequence of new snow and a moderate to strong wind from westerly directions, wind slabs will form. They represent the main danger. Dry avalanches are possible as the day progresses, even medium-sized ones. Even single winter sport participants can release avalanches in some places. These avalanche prone locations are to be found in all aspects above approximately 2000 m. Additionally in some places avalanches can be released in deep layers reach medium size. Backcountry touring and other off-piste activities call for caution and restraint.

10 to 20 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall on Monday above approximately 2000 m. 10 to 15 cm of snow fell on Saturday. The sometimes strong wind has transported the new snow. Adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas and at high altitudes and in high Alpine regions a little snow is lying. Weak layers exist in the old snowpack in all aspects. At low and intermediate altitudes less snow than usual is lying.
