Forecast Snow Stability: The existing snowpack will be well bonded and stable. Isolated windslab deposits will develop gradually through the day, on North through East to South-East aspects above 1000 metres. These deposits are not expected to be extensive and generally restricted to gully tops and coire rims. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: A wet start to the day with rain at all levels. Precipitation then becomes showery and turns gradually to snow above around 600 metres as the freezing level lowers to a similar level. Storm force West-South-Westerly winds. Observed Weather Influences: Precipitation this morning was rain at most levels and cleared to occasional showers as the freezing level fell from around 1200 metres to around 1000 metres. Very strong South-Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is consolidating and stable in most locations. Isolated instabilities remaining on North through East to South-East aspects above 1200 metres are consolidating quickly in the fluctuating temperatures. The avalanche hazard is Low.
