Weakly bonded old snow is to be evaluated with care and prudence.
Individual mostly small avalanches are possible above approximately 1800 m. This applies especially in gullies and bowls.
Snowpack Structure
The old snowpack remains subject to considerable local variations. At high altitude only a little snow is lying. At high altitude mostly small wind slabs formed. In gullies and bowls the wind slabs are larger.
