Slab avalanches that could severely injure or kill a person can be human triggered on avalanche prone slopes. These slabs could be one to three feet deep above an elevation of 8,000 feet where the hazard is moderate. These avalanches could be triggered on suspect slopes that have existing tracks. The avalanche hazard is low below that elevation where avalanches are unlikely except on isolated terrain features.
