In particular in the north wind and new snow to above 1400 m.
The sometimes strong wind will transport the new snow. In all aspects the wind slabs will increase in size substantially. The soft wind slabs are to be found in all aspects. As a consequence of the heavy precipitation avalanches are possible, even very large ones.
Snowpack Structure
The old snowpack will be unfavourable in the north. The fresh wind slabs are deep and prone to triggering. In particular on wind-loaded slopes very large natural avalanches must be expected frequently.
