Forecast Snow Stability: Quantities of new snow are not expected to bring about any significant change. Stability will remain good. The existing accumulations of snow, which lie primarily above 800 meters on North through to Easterly aspects will be re-frozen, hard and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Fluctuating temperatures overnight with a little precipitation, falling as rain, then snow above 800 metres. The Freezing levels will lower again by daylight to around 600 metres. Fresh West-South-West winds will ease West-North-West before, increasing moderate Westerly as the day progresses. Observed Weather Influences: A cool and overcast day with high cloud above the summits. A return to lower freezing levels brought an early morning frost down to around 600 metres. Winds were light generally South-Westerly. ObservedSnowStability: The remaining patches of snow above 850 metres, which lie predominantly on North through to Easterly aspects are hard, refrozen and stable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
