DANGEROUS dense slabs up to two feet in depth lie upon weak layers of light density snow and slick crusts. These slabs are likely to be easily triggered today and may release naturally on steep wind loaded aspects. These slabs could step down to the ground surface especially on shaded aspects and at lower elevations where depth hoar persists. Travel in avalanche tererain at the upper elevations is not recommended today.
