The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW this morning as overnight freezing temperatures have hardened the snow surface and avalanche activity is limited to isolated pockets of shallow surface slabs in very steep terrain above 9000'. This afternoon, the hazard will raise to MODERATE as warm temperatures and some sunlight will rapidly weaken the snowpack, providing for the possibility of wet slide activity at all elevations, particularly the low elevations where a warmer and weaker snowpack lies.
