Salt River and Wyoming Ranges

The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE today. Slabs one to three feet in depth lie upon weak layers of buried faceted snow on northerly aspects and could be triggered in steep wind loaded starting zones and cliff areas. As sunlight and warming affect the snow surface these slabs will become more sensitive and the chance for wet slide activity on south facing slopes will increase.
