5cm or so of new snow overnight in the Alpine and High Alpine with riming also occurring in the eastern parts of the region.
This is loading around terrain features, lee to the East/Sth East.
This has fallen onto a generally consolidated snowpack. Surface Hoar was observed prior to the storm in shady/sheltered areas and we will need to ascertain if it is preserved under the new snow. Not a current concern but it will need to be monitored.

Areas exposed to sun and wind have become firm. Utilising an ice axe and/or crampons is a good idea and exercise caution in exposed areas.
