The southeasterly wind has transported some snow. In particular very steep slopes as well as adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas: The fresh wind slabs can be released even by a single winter sport participant. Some small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized loose snow avalanches are possible. As a consequence of solar radiation the prevalence of these avalanche prone locations will increase as the day progresses. In regions neighbouring those that are subject to danger level 3 (considerable) the avalanche prone locations are more prevalent.

5 to 10 cm of snow, and up to 20 cm in some localities, has fallen above approximately 2000 m. The new snow of Sunday has bonded quite well with the old snowpack. The old snowpack is largely stable and its surface has a crust that is strong in many cases. Less snow than usual is lying. The snowpack will be generally subject to considerable local variations. Faceted weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack.
