Steamboat & Flat Tops

Avalanche conditions are generally safe, but that does not mean there are zero chances of avalanches. If you find clean, fresh-looking snow on steep slopes, be suspicious. This could be small wind drifts or snow waiting to shed on southerly aspects if the day warms up. Even a small avalanche in serious terrain can be dangerous, so check before committing to steep, extreme lines.
