In particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls the dry avalanches can release the entire snowpack. Fresh and somewhat older wind slabs can be released easily. or in isolated cases naturally, in particular on steep west facing slopes.
Snowpack Structure
The snowpack is favourably layered. Towards its base, the snowpack is moist.
