The fresh wind slabs are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. As a consequence of the new snow the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent towards the evening.
Snowpack Structure
In some localities sometimes avalanche prone wind slabs formed. Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted and weak.
