Forecast Snow Stability: New snow amounts are not expected to be significant, mainly very light accumulations above 950 metres, arriving mostly during mid afternoon. The remaining old patchy snow cover will continue to thaw at first then consolidate as cooler conditions take effect. Stability will be good in new and old accumulations in most locations. Largest areas will remain and form on sheltered NE to SE aspects above 950 metres, mainly in sheltered gullies and around coire rims. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will be around 1500 metres or above, lowering to near 1200 metres by mid afternoon. Precipitation will fall mostly as heavy rain with some sleet or light snow over the highest summits occurring mid afternoon. Winds will be strong to gale force West-South-Westerly easing through the day becoming North-North-Westerly by the end of the day. Observed Weather Influences: The freezing level remained above all the summits throughout this period with rain accompanied by strong to gale force South-Westerly winds. ObservedSnowStability: New snow deposits did not materialise during this period. The remaining moist, patchy snow cover continues to thaw and diminish but remains well bonded and generally stable throughout. The avalanche hazard is Low.
