Forecast Snow Stability: The patchy and limited snowpack that remains mostly above 800m on North-West through North to Easterly aspects will refreeze, becoming very firm and stable throughout. The avalanche hazard will be Low

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Freezing level will be well above the summits overnight lowering to around 800m in the early hours and remaining so throughout the day. Precipitation falling as rain to all levels overnight, then mostly a dry day is expected with the odd sleet or snow shower above 800m. Winds will be strong to gale force South-Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: Cold with a dusting of new snow at summit levels at first, disappearing as the freezing level rose above summit levels by midday. Winds strong South-Easterly. Precipitation falling as rain to all levels. ObservedSnowStability: After a dusting of snow overnight at summit levels this disappeared during the day. The old snowpack that now remains is well bonded and stable throughout. Although moist from today\'s rain, it remains firm. Snow cover is mostly patchy but significant areas of hard snow is present in some gullies, corries and summit slopes, mostly above 750 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low
