Avalanche Activity

Gradual increase in avalanche danger as a consequence of the precipitation.

In some localities up to 10 cm of snow will fall above approximately 1500 m. As a consequence of the precipitation the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent in the afternoon. Slow warming. As the snowfall level rises gliding avalanches and moist snow slides are possible. In gullies and bowls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain as well as at high altitude large surface-area wind slabs will form. The fresh wind slabs can be released, especially by large additional loads,.

Snowpack Structure

Up to 1600 m rain will fall in some regions. Individual moist and wet avalanches are possible in the afternoon, in particular on steep slopes below approximately 1800 m. The wind slabs must be evaluated with care and prudence in all aspects and generally at high altitude. Up to high altitudes rain will fall on Wednesday in some regions. In some localities in some regions up to 40 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall on Wednesday above approximately 1900 m.

Tendency

Up to high altitudes rain will fall on Wednesday in some regions. In some localities 40 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall on Wednesday above approximately 1900 m.
