Grand Mesa

Generally safe avalanche conditions exist throughout the Grand and Battlement Mesas. A few inches of snow Tuesday into Wednesday will do little to change the overall danger but you may be able to trigger small avalanches on the lee-sides of a ridgeline where wind drifts additional snow. Identify and avoid these wind-drifted slopes and cornices to reduce your chances of being injured in an avalanche on Tuesday.
