Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions are generally safe. Travel early in the day for optimal snow conditions and approach steep slopes with caution if you find lingering fresh snow from the last storm, or warm mushy snow surfaces. Even just a small avalanche can become serious if it wipes you off your feet in consequential terrain. Consider what terrain exists above and below you before committing to snow travel in steep or extreme terrain.
