Slabs to two feet in depth could be human triggered on very steep lee slopes at upper elevations. Shallow areas of snow over steep cliff bands and chutes rests on weak faceted crystals and should be avoided. Mostly stable snow exists at the mid and lower elevations.

A strong cold front will move into the area Wednesday morning bringing light to briefly moderate snow and gusty west to northwest winds. Accumulations of up to four inches area expected in the Tetons and two to three inches in the Togwotee Pass and Greys River/Salts areas. Morning lows will be near 20 degrees f. then rise to near 30 by afternoon.New snow will drift easily off southerly slopes with slick sun crusts onto lee slopes. People travelling onto steep, lee slopes at upper elevations could release slabs to two feet in depth additional loading with new snow and wind will make slabs more sensitive. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be MODERATE at upper elevations (9,000-10,500 feet).
